PHOTOS: Check Out The Louisville Ballet’s Ethereal ‘Giselle’

The Louisville Ballet's production of "Giselle," a ballet about a peasant woman who goes insane and dies when she learns her beloved is not the man he had claimed to be, then saves him from spirits who try to make him dance until he dies, opens this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Brown Theatre.

The production also includes shows this Saturday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., plus one on Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets start at $39.20.

The company's first cast features Natalia Ashikhmina (Giselle), Mark Krieger (Albrecht), Daniel Scofield (Hilarion), and Ashley Thursby (Myrthe).
