Last Friday, March 3, Louisville suffered severe thunderstorms, flooding, and high winds, which caused widespread damage and outages. In Louisville alone, the severe weather left more than 70,000 homes and businesses without power. Outside of Louisville, LG&E/KU had more than 100,000 customers without power. In total, LG&E/KU was responsible for the restoration of power to nearly 200,000 customers. This created a problem that has persisted into this week. As of this writing, there are still more than 16,000 customers without power in the Louisville area.

Local tweets about the storm ranged from the useful to the obvious and funny to the unintentionally funny. This slideshow spans that gamut.
