In Louisville, only 2.2% of the city's businesses are Black owned, even though Black residents account for about 22% of the county's population. That’s a stark figure, and it shows why we should support the businesses we have — so they can stay and others can follow. 

Of course, you don’t need statistics to want to patronize Louisville’s Black-owned restaurants. They’re among the best in the city, spanning Italian cuisine, dessert shops, soul food and beyond. You’ll find them in every corner of the burg, too: In Old Louisville, along Bardstown Road, in The West End, off Dixie Highway and in your neighborhood.
